I was born in Buffalo, New York, and grew up in California. I look forward to partnering with you in the health and care of your pets! ![]() My free time is filled with family activities, community service, travel, bicycling, and serving at my church, Pure Heart Christian Fellowship. We also enjoy spending time with our Himalayan kitty, Bandit. My wonderful wife and I have been married more than 30 years, and we have three children and four amazing grandchildren. I love being a veterinarian, and I am passionate about helping our clients and their pets. After earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 1974, I moved to sunny Phoenix, AZ, and have been enjoying the beautiful desert ever since! I joined the AZPetVet family in 1994, working at Roadrunner Animal Hospital & Grooming for the last 25 years before transferring here to our Arrow Animal Hospital & Grooming location in 2020. ![]() I was born and raised in rural northwest Iowa, where I spent my summers as a kid active in 4-H, working on the farm and drinking Root beer floats to stay cool. I also enjoy reading, going to concerts, and playing basketball. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors via mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, and scuba diving. My only human sibling has also dedicated herself to saving animals by working to restore coral in the Florida Keys. I have two (canine) siblings that live at home in Indiana with my mom (Hi Otto and Ellie!). I joined Arrow Animal Hospital in July 2023, and am excited to get to know you and your furry friends! Working with every individual to tailor a plan that suits their lifestyle and animal’s needs is a vital and satisfying component of my career. I also developed a specific interest and passion for veterinary dentistry. I attended IUPUI where I received a degree in Biology and completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Purdue University.ĭuring my time at Purdue, I expanded my veterinary experience by working as a zookeeper, lab animal researcher, and veterinary technician. Throughout my childhood, I enjoyed spending time outdoors with my adopted Great Pyrenees, Lucky, who played a large part in inspiring my journey into veterinary medicine.
